Tonight was the final of the league of champions futball tournament. Just so happens it took place in Athens this year, so a bunch of guys decide to go down and check out the action. It was deffinately a crazy adventure. We too kthe bus from Porto Rafti for the first time, so we took to the wrong spot which wasted us a lot of time and money. However, we met a friend on the bus. Our friend was from guana and he spoke decent English. When he observed how much trouble we were having with the greek woman on the bus he decided to step in and help. It was much apreciated. From the we took the train to Olympic stadium. The place was packed. I had never seen anything like this before. My first lesson about Europe is that no sport in America is as big to us as futtball is to them. The match was between Liverpool and A.C. Milan. I was pumped to finally here some people speaking english since there were so many people here to support liverpool. However, they were so drunk( about an hour and a half before the game started) that between their accents and the beer, we couldn't understand a word. We bought some paraphanalia. I got a Milan Jerzy. from there we headed away from the the stadium to get some food and to find a place to watch the game. Here we found even more of the british population. We made friends with some of them and sat down to enjoy the game. I've never heard so much yelling in my life. These people were serious. We left before the game was over cause even though we had a curfew extension we wanted to be back kinda close to curfew. So this time the plan was to take the bus to the airport and catch a cab from there since the busses stop running at eight. So we start traveling towards the airport and switched trains at the apropriate time. However, whe we switched trains instead of going towards the airport it took us back to athens. We got off the train and were very confused. Where were the planes and the runway. After much misscomunication with the greek train guy, we found out that the trains were closing for the day. he told us that we could catch another train that would take us to the airport. Now when he said airport, he must have ment Thesolanika, cause that's were that train was going. If it weren't for the english subtitles, I might be in Thesolinika right now. From there we found two cabs that would take us to the airport, but once we were in we asked to go to porto rafti instead. Turned out it was that expensive. But ofcourse there was some confusion with our driver who took us to the airport. When we finally got to portorafti he was very angry and understandably so. YEt he still only charged us forty euro. Lucky us
Crazy night
